"Then you're like a heartbeat. I'll miss you when you stop."

Wow, this book really put me through the wringer. It was funny, hilarious, thoughtful, fucking infuriating, beautiful and fantastic.
I loved how the book explored Ben and Nik's relationship in new and surprising ways. The development between them was profound, and also necessary in a way, I think. Ben found or took back more of himself or his old self. Nik also got humbled when the roles were reversed, so to speak. Both Ben and Nik are such complex and wonderful characters!

Two people need a special mention from this book, though.

A big shout out to Squeezy!

And Kate....

Ahh, I feel so much better now.... So fitting smashing her with a keyboard.

What she did was wrong on so many levels, I didn't know where to start!! Taking advantage of Ben in that state, was just.... O.o
I'm really glad Nik didn't blame Ben, but I'm also disappointed that Nik didn't have a bigger reaction due to her betrayal. But then, keep your friends close, but your enemies closer? Or revenge is better served cold? I dunno. What I do know is that Nik is a patient bastard, she will probably have something coming for her.

And I have a special star just for her:

Next book, please!
