Think Of England

Think Of England - K.J. Charles

**** 4,5 jolly good stars *****

"Then lie back and think of England."
~Da Silva~

(btw, the best line ever)

Downton Abbey meets Agatha Christie meets MM Romance pluss a Viking!

"Oh, God, Archie. My Viking. You do no know how you have plundered me."

Infused with witty and posh British dialogue and English men polite to the end of their fingertips, in every situation.
It was a good old British mystery-crime in Agatha Christie fashion!
I loved it!

The blurb tells you what you need to know of the plot.

Meet Captain Archie Curtis, the big, blond "Viking".

"(...)Where as i give him my intellect and physical prowess in return, that's my vicious tongue."
"I like your tongue." [Curtis]
Daniel's brows shot up, and it was not a mannered movement. He recovered his poise. "How daring of you to say so."

And Daniel da Silva, the "Effete, decadent, foreign, and all-too-obviously queer, the sophisticated poet" (from the blurb)

The silky dressing gown was open, revealing his smooth, bare chest and, Curtis couldn't but notice, dark nipples, one of which---oh, good God---was pierced with a silver ring.

Curtis and da Silva. *dreamy sigh*

Highly recommended. And it was awarded:

Best Gay Historical Romance 2014
